Happy Camp is the largest hamlet anywhere in between.

	In the past, Happy Camp was in important lumber and gold rush town. Today, tourists are the new gold and timber. The area is a outdoor enthusiasts play ground with world class fishing, hunting, gold panning, hiking, river rafting etc. People come from all over to enjoy the solitude and diverse nature found in the area.
