SELF GUIDED KLAMATH RIVER KAYAK TRIPS

  Even Grandma loves these trips

These are non-guided family friendly river rental trips suitable for most parents, kids, and even grandparents.  Most of the waters we paddle are considered class 1 or below.  There is 1 class 2 rapids on one of our trips - just enough to wet the adrenaline appetite.

Three trips are available lasting in length from 1 to 7 hours.  Actual lengths vary - the more you paddle the faster you go - the more you stop along the banks, islands, and gravel bars to explore the slower you travel - you are in control. Bring a picnic lunch or stop for photos.

Our trips are considered remote.  Most of the trips are away from the highway.  On the sections we float (all trips begin or end at our riverfront resort) the highway travels over Cade Mountain and the river goes around the base of the mountain miles and miles away.  These trips are known for their scenic beauty and abundance of wildlife.  Our boats were chosen not only for their stability, but also for their ability to blend in with the environment.  This will allow you to see more deer, fish, osprey, eagles, herons, foxes, turtles, frogs, coyotes, bears, and perhaps even Bigfoot.

DUE TO A DEATH IN THE FAMILY - WE DO NOT THINK WE WILL BE OPERATING THE KAYAK RENTALS IN 2008 - WE ARE LOOKING FOR ANOTHER COMPANY TO OPERATE HERE - CHECK BACK FOR DETAILS.  I WOULD RECOMMEND HOWEVER, THAT YOU MAKE ARRANGEMENTS FOR A GUIDED RAFTING TRIP.  THEY ARE VERY SPECIAL AND WELL WORTH THE PRICE.  IF YOU HAVE EQUIPMENT OR RENT IT ELSEWHERE WE CAN HELP YOU ARRANGE THE SHUTTLES - JUST SEND US AN EMAIL.
